Overview
Temporary residence work visa for a foreign national taking up employment in South Africa, assessed under the points-based system introduced in October 2024 for qualifying applications.
Eligibility & Requirements
- A contract of employment signed by the employer and employee.
- Police clearance certificate issued from a country where the applicant resided for longer than 12 months in the last 5 years
- Proof of qualifications evaluated by SAQA.
- Proof of financial means to cover living expenses.
- A medical report, signed by a medical practitioner
- Confirmed South African job offer; points-based eligibility under current regulations; qualification and experience evidence; employer support and compliance documents; and any threshold requirements applicable outside the Trusted Employer Scheme.
